I’m not afraid to ask for help
23 days to Father’s Day.
How do I coach my teens? They seem so cut off from family. Do they just want to eat and argue and be left alone to space out? I know that under that layer of spunk and coolness is a loving child.
My plan is to approach my kids once every day for the next 23 days. Each touch will be just a few seconds, maybe a minute. That’s doable.
Today I will approach my teen boys and say:
“I want to make this Father’s Day something touching and memorable for the whole family. Do you have any ideas?”
Whatever they say will be fine. I will nod my head and say: “Thanks for listening. I’ll be talking to you about it again, tomorrow.”
